Today was the Battle of Flowers in Jersey. It is a long Island tradition involving floats up to 40ft in length covered in real or paper flowers (majority are real). I got drafted in yesterday to help with Trinity’s parish float, couldn’t really escape from doing so as only live a couple hundred metres up the road for the shed where it is built! Got Darrell involved as well who was quickly promoted to leaf stapler!! There were some very very good floats this year but St Saviours’ did stand out as the deserved winners.
